“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” – Micah 6:8
There are multiple areas in Scripture where we are told to be on “mission.” To be serving in our communities, loving one another, counting them more significant than ourselves, to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God in the process.
As we hear examples of how the body of Christ is serving others and making a difference to glorify God by sharing the love of Christ, we want to share those moments and events. This is an example of something coming up on April 22nd, 2013.
Golf4Justice is a golf tournament to benefit Agape International Missions. All profits will go to Agape and their goal to defeat child trafficking in Cambodia. Cory recently wrote about some of the things going on in Cambodia found here – “Lessons From Cambodia.”
AIM equips churches to fight trafficking in Cambodia and now in the US with AIM Anti-Trafficking Training. Their goal is to fight trafficking, restore victims, and transform communities. Here is a video to show a little more about AIM:
Jeff Goldston recently visited Cambodia and saw first hand what was going on over there. It was at this time that he had the vision to put on this event, Golf4Justice. This just shows one way we can be obedient to what God can put on our hearts and mind to fulfill His will and His mission, even if that involves golfing…for justice.
You can find more information at their website. You can become a sponsor, donate, or register to attend and play in the event. We would like to ask you to consider at least praying for them and for the efforts being put forth in Cambodia by AIM and the body of Christ to put an end to sex trafficking. You can follow them on Twitter & check out their event on Facebook.
