I’ve been using Logos now for the past few versions and when I started, I wanted to find Bible software that was easy to use and would contain as much information as I would need to go deeper in studying God’s Word. Not only has Logos provided this help in studying God’s Word, but has blown my expectations even more with how much they provide for you to learn.
They continue to get better, faster, and improve their data with new resources every year, and this time, there’s no exception with Logos 6. Here’s a quick recap of the new features of Logos along with some of my favorite new additions.
One of my favorite parts of Logos 6 is their visual copy option. People love quotes for example and love sharing them whether it’s online or in a presentation of some sorts. With visual copy, you just highlight whatever quote, phrase, or verse you’d like, then just click on visual copy, and it presents you automatic backgrounds catered to the nature of the quote for you to apply it to. After that, you already have the image now to share online or in a presentation, that simple.
Now searching is even easier so when you just need a quick “go to” material, just type it in from the home page and you’ll get top results at the top, then you can easily work your way down to find what you need. With so many resources that Logos has, being able to quickly search in my opinion is one of the best features so you won’t get lost in the midst of so much content.
Interactive Media Resources
Logos is getting much more interactive with their tools and as you can see in the video, there’s a great example of being able to search topically through Psalms with visual aids guiding you the whole way. The more media they are adding, the better, and we all benefit from these newly added media resources.
Being able to search through culture topics is huge for those of us who follow Christ and/or are leading someone else through difficult topics. For example, you can pull up marriage as one of their cultural concepts and go deeper in the context of what the Bible has to say about marriage as Logos also provides additional resources for the topic. This is huge for when we just want to search culturally popular topics, but may not know where to find them in the Bible.

Logos states that their ultimate mission is to serve the Church and I believe they have done exactly that and will continue to do so in the future with whatever it is God is leading them to do.
