Scripture on Hope

Scripture on Hope - Bible on Table

There are two different ways the dictionary defines hope. One is a feeling of expectation and a desire for certain things to happen. As believers, we have an expectation that God is faithful and has forgiven us of all our sins because of what Jesus has done on the Cross. Do we know this in our head or in our hearts? The other way it defines it is a person or thing that may help or save someone. We have hope in Jesus Christ for being our Savior, our Deliverer, our true Hope. He has come to save the world and He will return again, this is our hope.

Today, be encouraged that no matter what you are doing through, you can have hope in the God of rescue. Here is what the Bible has to say with Scripture on Hope:

1 Timothy 4:9-10 – The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

Acts 2:26-27 – Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.

Lamentations 3:21-22 – But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.

Psalm 147:11 – But the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Isaiah 40:31 – But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 42:5 – Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation.

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
